Thesis
She is rage
For my senior thesis, I wrote, produced, directed, and edited an experimental short film, SHE IS RAGE, exploring the inner conflict of women’s emotions and the ways in which society perceives and shapes those experiences. The project was inspired by the overturning of Roe v. Wade and became an opportunity to examine themes of identity, autonomy, and the complexities of womanhood.
Creating the film gave me firsthand experience organizing and leading a production from conception through post-production. I learned how to communicate a creative vision while collaborating with actors and crew, manage the demands of a set, and make decisions that shaped the film’s visual and emotional language.
Most importantly, the project allowed me to explore my artistic voice and better understand what drives me to create. It was the most challenging project I had undertaken as an artist, but also the most rewarding.
SHE IS RAGE, was screened at an art gallery in Sydney, Australia.
